Description

The White Industries XMR+ Front Hub is a lightweight, precision-machined Boost 6-bolt disc hub built for modern mountain and gravel bikes. We machine, assemble, and inspect every hub in our Petaluma, California facility. As a result, the XMR+ delivers smooth performance, lasting durability, and premium American craftsmanship.

The XMR+ traces its heritage back to the original White Industries Ti Front Hub introduced in 1992. For more than 30 years, we’ve refined our hub designs through real-world riding and continuous innovation. Today, every XMR+ carries the same proven DNA: simple engineering, dependable performance, and long-lasting reliability.

Designed for Boost-spaced forks, the XMR+ uses the industry-standard ISO 6-bolt disc rotor interface. Therefore, it delivers confident braking performance for aggressive trail riding, backcountry adventures, and fast gravel routes. At the same time, its low weight, clean profile, and robust construction make it an excellent choice for riders who want strength without unnecessary weight.

Two premium Enduro sealed cartridge bearings keep the XMR+ rolling smoothly mile after mile. They also reduce maintenance, allowing you to spend more time riding and less time servicing your bike.

Choose from four spoke drilling options, seven anodized colors, and two axle configurations to create a custom wheelset that matches your bike and riding style. Whether you’re building a lightweight gravel bike or a capable trail bike, the XMR+ delivers premium Made in the USA performance built to last.

FAQ

Which is better, the XMR+ or CLD+ hub?

Neither is “better”. Both share the same internals and the differences really come down to the two different rotor mounting standards: Center Lock for CLD+, and 6-bolt for XMR+.  The bottom line is you can’t go wrong with either hub!

What type of service should I be performing on my hubs, and how often?

This depends on the type of climate you’re riding in, and how often.  To check the bearings, remove the wheel once a month and spin the axle with your fingers to check for roughness which would indicate a bearing/bearings need to be replaced.  In wet climates you can smear extra grease on the faces of the outer bearings to help protect them.  For this, we like to use Sta-Lube Water-Resistant Marine Grease.

Can I get this hub in a 12mm x 100 or 15mm x 100mm Thru axle?

Yes, but that would be a different model called the “XMR” (not Boost)

Can I convert this hub to a 12mm x 100 or 15mm x 100mm Thru axle?

No.  The shell is too wide.

Can I swap between the 12mm x 110mm axle and the 15mm x 110mm Thru axle? And is that and difficult?

You can swap but you need to purchase a new axle kit.  Axle kits are on the Axle Kits page. Instructions are in the Front Hub Assembly document, but it’s not a complicated procedure and does not require special tools.

How can I restore that shiny silver finish on my polished raw aluminum White Industries parts?

Use “Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish” with a microfiber rag.  Start with heavy pressure and lighten up towards the end.

Can I get these in a custom anodized color or hole drilling?

Unfortunately we do not offer those options.
