Description
The White Industries C157 Rear Hub is a lightweight, precision-machined Super Boost Center Lock disc rear hub built for mountain bikes with 12x157mm Super Boost spacing. We machine, assemble, and inspect every hub in our Petaluma, California facility. As a result, the C157 delivers smooth performance, lasting durability, and premium American craftsmanship.
The C157 traces its heritage back to the original White Industries Ti Cassette Hub introduced in 1992. For more than 30 years, we’ve refined our hub designs through real-world testing and continuous innovation. Today, every C157 carries the same proven DNA: simple engineering, dependable performance, and long-lasting reliability.
The C157 is based on our proven CLD+ Boost platform and is designed specifically for bikes that require 12x157mm Super Boost spacing. It uses the Shimano Center Lock disc rotor interface for fast, secure rotor installation and dependable braking performance. Therefore, it’s the ideal choice for riders who demand maximum wheel stiffness, precise handling, and reliable performance on today’s most capable mountain bikes.
At the heart of the C157 is a heat-treated, black-oxide 4130 steel axle with lightweight aluminum axle ends. Four premium Enduro sealed cartridge bearings support the hub—two in the 6061-T6 aluminum hub shell and two in the 6Al-4V titanium freehub body. Together, they provide smooth rolling performance, efficient power transfer, and exceptional long-term durability.
Choose from three spoke drilling options, two anodized colors, and three freehub body options to build the ideal wheelset for your bike. Whether you’re racing enduro, riding technical trails, or building a Super Boost trail bike, the C157 delivers premium Made in the USA performance built to last.
