The White Industries V2 VBC Inner Chainring is a precision-machined chainring designed for Shimano and SRAM 2x road and gravel drivetrains. We machine, finish, and inspect every chainring in our Petaluma, California facility. As a result, the V2 VBC Inner Chainring delivers crisp shifting, exceptional durability, and premium American craftsmanship.
The V2 VBC Inner Chainring is part of the White Industries Variable Bolt Circle (VBC) system. It is compatible with Shimano 9-12 speed drivetrains, including 105, Ultegra, GRX, and Dura-Ace, as well as SRAM 10-12 speed Apex, Rival, and Red groupsets. It works with both mechanical and electronic shifting systems, making it an excellent choice for modern road and gravel bikes.
The VBC system allows multiple inner chainring sizes to pair with the same compatible V2 VBC Outer Chainring. Therefore, you can fine-tune your gearing without replacing your entire chainring set. With up to five inner chainring sizes and 33 possible gearing combinations, the VBC system offers exceptional versatility for every riding style.
The V2 Inner Chainring features redesigned tooth profiles and updated shift ramp geometry for faster, smoother front shifting. It also includes refined machining details that work seamlessly with the V2 Outer Chainring, including compatibility with five shift pins and a replaceable chain catch pin when used as a complete chainring set.
The V2 VBC Inner Chainring is backward compatible with all White Industries MR30 Series cranks and White Industries direct-mount square taper cranks. However, it is not compatible with V1 VBC Outer Chainrings. For proper installation, pair the V2 Inner Chainring with a V2 VBC Outer Chainring and the appropriate hardware.
