We designed the White Industries MET Hub specifically for Brompton folding bicycles. We engineered the MET Hub from our existing hubs but catered to the needs of Brompton’s small wheels, high spoke tensions, frequent folding, and daily urban use. Our engineers optimized the flange geometry to create stronger wheel builds, balance spoke tension, and increase long-term durability.

At our facility in Petaluma, California, we machine every MET Hub from premium aluminum and hold each component to the tight tolerances that define White Industries products. Sealed cartridge bearings keep the hub rolling smoothly through all-weather commutes, weekend adventures, and years of regular use.
When it’s time for maintenance, you can replace bearings and internal components to keep your hub performing at its best. This serviceable design extends the life of the hub and supports years of dependable riding.
The name MET—short for Metro—reflects the environments where Brompton bikes thrive. From city streets and bike paths to travel destinations, the MET Hub supports riders who rely on their bicycles every day.
