Our headset spacers are specifically designed to cleanly match our headset bearing covers and top caps for a smooth and seamless look. They are available individually or in sets.
Specs
- “Tapered” spacers are designed to go directly above the headset bearing cover or directly under your stem and are relieved internally to save weight
- “Straight” spacers are designed to go above the tapered spacer or on top of the stem
- Sets include 1 each of:
- 2.5mm straight (S2.5)
- 5mm straight (S5)
- 10mm straight (S10)
- 5mm tapered (T5)
- 10mm tapered (T10)
- All spacers have a 28.6mm inner diameter (for 1-⅛” for steerers)
- Straight spacers are 31.6mm outside diameter
- Tapered spacers are 31.6mm outside diameter on top and 34.7mm outside diameter on the bottom
Compatibility
- “Tapered” spacers are designed to go directly above the headset bearing cover or directly under your stem and are relieved internally to save weight
- A tapered spacer flipped over perfectly blends into the bottom of a Paul Components stem
- “Straight” spacers are designed to go above the tapered spacer or on top of the stem
- Compatible with other headsets but not necessarily “match” other headset spacers due to the smaller outside diameter of our spacers (see specs)
FAQ’s
- Your headset spacers are thinner/lighter than other brands. Will they collapse or crush?
- Not when used with a properly set up bike. Headset spacers should have very little “pressure” on them; the same amount needed to keep your headset tight, which isn’t much. Once you tighten the steerer clamp bolts of your stem, there should be no further stress on your headset spacers.
