Marco Osborne doesn’t separate riding from the rest of his life. It’s all the same current.
When he’s not on the bike, he’s hunting, fishing, fabricating, or spending time outdoors with friends and family. Mountains, rivers, metal, dirt — the through line is the same: movement, self-reliance, and being outside.
He describes his riding in one sentence:
“Raw, loose, adventurous and fierce.”
That tracks. Have you ever seen a spider ride a bike? Watch Marco. Then you have.

25 Years on Two Wheels
Bikes have been part of Marco’s life for 25 years. That kind of longevity builds perspective. He’s seen trends come and go, standards shift, and gear evolve.
Through it all, one thing hasn’t changed — riding is about being in the mountains.
His favorite local trail? Warren Lakes Trail. No additional details needed. The ones who know, know.

Built for Big Days
Marco rides CLD+ hubs and White Industries headset on his Transition bike.
His introduction to White goes back to 2014.
“Ben Cruz told me about a local brand that had the best hubs in the world.”
Twelve years later, those hubs have taken serious abuse — and they’re still going.
“After 12 years of abuse, these hubs are still the fastest rolling, most reliable and easy to service hubs I have ever used.”

That’s not marketing language. That’s experience. And if you know anything about Marco at all he puts things through the wringer. AKA- not gentle on components.
When asked what matters most in a component, Marco doesn’t hesitate.
“Gravy (local legend) said these hubs are ‘Bomber’! Which is what my set up requires to perform and finish big enduro events. Durability is the most important factor to me. The rolling resistance and serviceability are a big bonus.”
Big terrain. Big events. Equipment that can’t flinch.
The Overlooked Detail
Marco’s answer to what riders overlook is simple:
Bar height.
It’s a small adjustment that changes everything — control, comfort, confidence. The difference between fighting your bike and flowing with it.
It’s the kind of detail only someone with decades of riding really dials in.

Less Is More
After 25 years, Marco has learned something that feels almost counterintuitive in a world obsessed with optimization:
“It’s fun to nerd out and fine tune the set up, but in the end all that really matters is getting outside and enjoying time in the mountains. Less is more, appreciate every ride.”
Setup matters. But perspective matters more.
The ride itself — the dirt, the elevation, the quiet — that’s the point.
Ride Fuel & Awareness
What’s always in his pack (besides tools)?
Meat sticks or home made elk jerky or tins of sardines if he is abroad.
Fuel for long days. No sugars or dairy. His GF thanks him for that.
AirPods or Amish?
“The sound of Nature, watch your six, Rick!”
Awareness. Instinct. Listening. Be aware of your surroundings.

Marco rides the way he lives: direct, grounded, and built for durability. He’s not chasing trends. He’s chasing good days in the mountains.
Raw. Loose. Adventurous. Fierce.
