Advocacy

Supporting the Places and People That Make Riding Possible

At White Industries, advocacy isn’t a campaign—it’s a responsibility.

Bicycles rely on access: access to trails, public lands, safe roads, and communities that value outdoor recreation. Supporting that access means showing up consistently, contributing thoughtfully, and investing in the long-term health of the places where riding happens.

Trail Stewardship & Public Lands

Trails don’t build or maintain themselves. They require planning, labor, and ongoing care. We support organizations like the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship that prioritize sustainable trail design, responsible land use, and long-term stewardship—efforts that protect access while respecting the land.

Our advocacy focuses on:

  • Sustainable trail construction and maintenance
  • Responsible recreation and land access
  • Long-term stewardship over short-term fixes
  • Community-driven trail programs

Supporting trails means supporting the future of riding. Learn more about our partnership with Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship.

Community-Focused Support

Advocacy starts at the local level. We believe in supporting the people and organizations doing real work on the ground like the NorCal League—builders, volunteers, educators, and advocates who invest their time and energy into cycling communities.

That support may take many forms:

  • Financial contributions
  • Product support
  • Hands-on involvement
  • Amplifying voices doing meaningful work

We choose partnerships carefully and with intention. Learn more about the NorCal League partnership.

Why It Matters

Cycling thrives when access is protected and communities are engaged. Advocacy helps ensure:

  • Trails remain open, maintained, and sustainable
  • Public lands are respected and preserved
  • Future riders have the same opportunities we do today

The same principles that guide how we build components—longevity, restraint, and responsibility—also guide how we approach advocacy.

Looking Ahead

Advocacy is ongoing work. As riding evolves, so do the challenges facing access, land use, and infrastructure. We remain committed to supporting efforts that prioritize thoughtful solutions, long-term outcomes, and respect for both riders and the environment.
