Manufacturing here in Petaluma CA, is important to us. Not only that our parts are made in the US, but that WE are making our parts. It’s a subtle difference but it is the key in the quality of parts we make. It allows us to be involved in each stage of production, making sure throughout the whole process that our rigorous tolerances are held to get you the best product possible. It also allows us to be critical and intentional of the metals we use choosing US made materials above all else. This ensures at the foundational manufacturing level that the quality of materials are of the utmost highest.
Whether the parts are made from titanium like our freehub bodies or aluminum found in our hubs, cranks, and chainrings, you are supporting manufacturing from US mills and factories. Manufacturing our products with higher grade materials forges the most important part of our products, reliability. Beyond the foundational material and design lending to such a robust system, being made in house gives us the luxury of being able to adapt and change quickly. We are able to introduce new products keeping up with the marketplace, and more often than not we are able to design retrofittable parts to keep your parts compatible or should we say backwards compatible with whatever new “standard” that comes next.
Even more importantly than the product itself, we are relational. Building a relationship with you and the community enables us to the products that we do. It helps us stand confident that you desire sustainable reliable parts and choose to reuse and upgrade your product rather than just throw it away every few years. That you care where your product is made and who makes it and that you trust in us to make the best product possible. While we might not be able to make every cool idea you guys throw at us, we do listen to them and they do help us develop some of our best products. We don’t make our products to be the trendiest, we craft them for you and your needs to be the best and endure all you can throw at them.
